Orcas Island - The Most Beautiful Island in the Pacific Northwest!
Come to Orcas this fall! Experience Island Life as it slows down. Wonder what to do? Go kayaking, hike Mountain Lake, swim in Cascade Lake, take a picnic to Crescent Beach. Mornings are cool, mid day is warm.. the sunsets are awesome!
Real Estate Sales are heating up on Orcas - not as wild and crazy as in nearby Seattle, but strong, prices are close to the 2007 high. Average home price in the San Juan's is: $490,799 with the Median at $420,500.
With the growing population in the Puget Sound area added to the tragic fires on the east side, I predict more and more people will be wanting to vacation and purchase on Orcas and the San Juan Islands. As an owner of vacation property, I can tell you I have been booked solid all year.
Good news for buyers - Federal Housing Finance Agency announced plans to expand home buyers' access to mortgages by loosening up lending standards.to borrowers with down payments as low as 3 percent and by easing standards for those with less than perfect credit. This should help first-time buyers, self-employed borrowers, recent job switchers, and those who faced financial hardship during the recession. (November 2014)

It's the MOST prized real estate in the Pacific Northwest. Come see us and fall in love! The New York Times, Islands Magazine, Sunset Magazine will all tell you how we are in the top ten destinations to visit, live and retire.
